In 2016, Tim Owens began to volunteer
at the Salvation Army in southern Nevada.
Tim taught post-homeless Veterans
how to use the computer and the Internet.

On the first day of training, Tim assumed
he would teach Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Tim asked the students what they wanted to learn.
They requested the following training:

*How to type .......................
*How to use email...................
*How to use a mouse.................
*How to use a keyboard..............
*What is a brower (Chrome, Edge)....
*What is the Internet...............
*How to use the Internet...........
*How to go to a website.............
*How to scroll through a website....
*What is "E-mail" and how to use it.

...and other skills as well...

*How to create a resume............
*How to find a job using the Internet
*How to apply for a job using the Internet
*How to apply for benefits...............

Tim created this online training
from those clients requests.

PLEASE NOTE: Many younger Vets
understood how to use a smart-phone
yet were not that proficient at
using the computer or Internet.
Many of the younger Vets wanted
to learn how to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
